I open mine, flick through a few pages and then bin it.

There are times when it's binned still in the plastic sleeve.

Does anyone actually bother to read, show interest, or look forward to getting theirs?

Despite tis being asked a hundred times before,
I always read mine, quite often they have articles that refer to more than just whats on, like new additions in the pipeline for sky services, always worth keeping up to date otherwise you are always the last to know, and a useful feature can slip you by.

No, I'm more environmentally aware - all three of them go straight onto the recycling pile.

I've even asked Sky to stop sending them but they still arrive.

    Cheers,

    Nigel

I'm not sure if this is still true but Sky used to allocate a certain amount of your subs to the mag. On mags you don't have to pay VAT so its a win for Sky.

Also because of their huge base their ABC circulations figures are very high and hense they can charge more for their advertising in the mag

You could try putting "Return to sender" on it and popping it in the post box. ;)

I bet that would stop them sending it to you!

I am a postman and I hate the end of month when every bugger gets their sky mag. Cos like me, most people flick through it then recycle or bin it within 5 mins of it getting inside the box!! (same goes for saga/ national trust/ screw fix / gardeners world etc!!! not all rubbish mags but I hate delivering them!):suicide:

I just insert pizza menus in all the prepaid envelopes they send with it, give them a taste of there own.
I also like to keep tele sales on hold when they ring 7 mins and 24 sec is the record. while the wife was just comming in from the shops ;) then had to take a call on her mobile:thumbsup:, but they usually give up after about 4 mins of holding:D

I open flick and the BIN IT!!!

If Sky are so keen on being environmentally friendly there SHOULD be an option to recieve the magazine or not.
That way they can save a hell of a lot waste at the end of every month.

For the record, it IS possible to request they do not send you the magazine, I've disabled it and enabled it on many customer's accounts. next time you're on, if you don't want it, tell them, it's a simple tick box on your account details.

I wasn't even aware there were 3 mags, I don't even consider looking at it/them. I used to look but got fed up of Alliance and Leicester loan crap falling out all over the place.

wrapper into plastic re-cycle bin and mag in the paper re-cycle bin.
question though...........Sky claim to be carbon neutral but what about their mag producer and distributor?
should their carbon footprint not be attributed in part to Sky?

Film mag is pretty good as it has alphabetic list of all films on during month including what time channel etc. Given the amount of posts on this site about when a particular film is on in HD etc I think people mind find it worth a glance.
Rest of the stuff is not too good though although the "customer letters" are worth a look for some viz style laughs!
