I love the old James Bond films, and have fond memories watching the 4:3 broadcasts on an old 22" TV with mono sound at home on a Sunday evening.

Now I have a THX sound system and a 6 foot screen its just not the same.
The big screen shows the limitations of the special effects available at the time and the impressive sound detracts from their original charm.

How do you watch those golden oldies? Sat in your living room in front of the fire on an old TV with a cup of tea and a biscuit, OR in your converted garage/bedroom/basement on your huge screen, 6/7.1 audio system with a glass of wine and a takeaway meal?

But they were intended to be watched on screens much bigger than 6 feet wide...personally, I'd rather watch a movie the way the director intended it to be watched. If it was possible to put a cinemascope screen in my house, then I would. Ben Hur would look amazing!!
