Does the Sony KDL - 32L4000 support 1080P?

In the playstation settings I can change it to say it does accept 1080P and when I play call of duty 5 it says it is in 1080P. In the instruction manual however, it doesnt say it is capable of it? I am connected through HDMI.

Also, does anyone have reccommended settings as I seem to be getting alot of ghosting when playing PES09

The 32L4000 on display in our shop quite happily accepts a 1080p signal without problem, was just as surprised myself.
