It accepts VGA and YUV, you need a RGB to VGA converter to input RGB

He he, well that's a good Q....in theory the component input should be better, but you'd probably need a pretty discerning eye

if you compare YUV to RGBHV, RGBHV will be better (higher bandwidth)
if you compare YUV progressive to RGBHV non-progressive, YUV progressive will likely be better
if you compare YUV progressive to RGBHV progressive (true VGA), RGBHV progressive will be better

a prgressive YUV source is only better if the Player De-interlacer is better than the Panel De-interlacer...............
