Probably a stupid question but does the official xbox High definition pack come with component cables or is it just the adaptor block and you have to provide your own?

ah well typical mine is already on its way from boxoffice. did you use a standard ixos cable into the adaptor or one of these? looks like it could be good apart from it seems to lack an optical out which would make it useless.

Yeah unfortunately the Ixos ones are pretty useless. I actually phoned and asked them (and Microsoft), but they just don't do one with a digital out. I'm using the Microsoft HiDef pack: it accepts rgb and seems fine to me. You'll need to buy a cheap optical cable though.

Well it arrived just now complete with connecting cable. Already got an optical cable that I use with my xbox scart cable so thats not a problem. Won't have my pj till tommorow so can't test it out yet but from looking at it it looks pretty cheap. Looks like I would of had to get the adaptor regardless anyway if there is no digtial out on those IXOS cables (what were they thinking?). Thanks for the all the replies.
