Does the DV139 output NTSC at 24 fps ?

    No, it won't do this. It will output at the refresh rate of 60hz, which is what is stored on the disc.

    Only Blu-ray, or HD DVD is stored on the disc at 24 fps. Most HD players will convert the 24 fps to 60hz, and some now have the option of outputting the raw 24 fps, as stored on the disc.

    If you purchase an external video processor, then many of these can take the 60hz and reassemble it to make the original 24 fps, which can be output in multiples of 24, ie 24, 48, or even 72hz.
