Does the Denon avr 3802 do EX?

hi there everyone, I am thinking of buying the denon 3802. What I would like to know is whether the denon will allow me to play all surround modes (i.e. ex) or just ES modes.

thanks for your help on this

hi there, I ask this question because when I look at the specs on the denon site I see this for the 3803

Dolby Digital Surround EX

but for the 3802 I only see DTS modes with mention of Extended Surround

thus, while it may do EX it doesn't actually day that it does, or does it?

I seem to recall Denon not actually being able to officially claim DD EX support on the 3802 and 2802 amps because of some licensing problems with THX or Dolby or both of them.

In any case, both machines do offer DD EX support in reality.
