    Hi Guys,

Just checking, does the 2805 take banana plugs for the speaker connections.

I checked last night but didn't think it looked like it does.

    Cheers

    Hi

You need to pop out the little bungs that are in the speaker terminals. A small flat head screwdriver will do the trick. :)

My 2805 (and 3805) came with small plastic sleeves in the speaker terminals, rather than the little caps I'd seen in the past. The easiest way to get them out is by screwing a small woodscrew half a turn or so into them, until it bites, and then using the screw to pull them straight out.

(I should point out that I only realised this 6 months after I bought my 2805, having bought a large pile of new banana plugs the day before I picked up the amp. I therefore spent 6 months with 79-strand cable precariously hanging out of the Denon's rather flimsy screw terminals. Just how foolish did I feel when I finally realised the sleeves were removable? ;-) )

Don't worry, you won't be the only one.

    I didn't realise my 3802 could accept banana's until almost a year.
