I'm looking at buying the 868 but I've read it doesn't play DVD+R discs.
I sometimes burn movies to DVD+R's and I would like to know if I can play
    those in it.
    Thanks!

757 plays them perfectly so why shouldn't the 868? My guess is that it does.

I've just had a look at the 868 on www.dvdrhelp.com and it is listed as being able to play DVD+/-R(W) disks. This site is very good for checking the compatability of players as the reports are from real users and not just reviews from a mag or the companies own specs etc.

    Mark.
