    Hi

I have noticed that I don't get a Nicam stereo sound on my TV when I use my Freeview box connected to my TV via the scart lead, but I do when I use the simple arial connection into my TV

    Has anyone else noticed this?

Digital telly does not use NICAM so when you are watching a digital channel you are getting mpeg stereo and therefore the NICAM indicator does not light up.
The analogue channels that are passed through the Freeview box and then accessed by the televisions analogue tuner do contain NICAM stereo which is why the indicator lights up.
