I would have thought they all should play xvid with no problems but you can never guarantee it as it depends on whether the player is happy with the encode.
Check the forums for recommendations on a good divx player. If by some chance it doesnt play your files use Virtualdub to re-encode the file into divx, avi etc. Re-encoding is pretty straightforward and you'll be able to find plenty of tutorials on the net.
Divx compatible dvd players should play xvids as well. Its not always listed but mediatek, zoran, sigma and most other chipset players will do xvids....even Sony divx players !
