Does Component carry audio aswell?

    Probably a dumb question to most of you but:

    If I connect my dvd player to my tv Via Component connection so I can get progressive scan then will it still have the audio as well or do I need to connect a seperate cable from the dvd player to the tv to recieve audio?

    no probs :hiya:

    component carries no audio so yes you'll need to connect audio cables.

    Component is VIDEO only, you need a seperate audio cable :)

    Edited the mistake !
