You can still buy it from ASDA. Daughter drinks it.
Reading this thread reminded me of the short lived tab clear from coke-cola.

I think that one was before my time.

Came in loads of different fruit flavours including strawberry, pineapple and blackcurrant.

when I was of primary school age I lived on Cresta
that's the one that came to mind for me when I read the thread title.
Me too I remember going to the shop at lunch and buying a 2 litre bottle for about 10p
Used to drink lots of Rio too not sure if that's still about.
Rio still about.
I bought 24 cans from Costco last week.
One drink that i used to like drinking was peardrax, have not seen it in years.
Just trying to remember the can of drink I used to drink as a boy. Must've been early 80's and I remember the drink can being 13p and the cans base was made up of round ridges.
At the time it was the cheapest thing available, even cheaper than the Happy Shopper orange cans!
not so much of a drink but an added bonus to milk as a kid.
There was a time when you couldn't buy any other drink when you went to the cinema.
Corona came in many flavours all nice with the exception of Cola . Also ki-ora which came in a plastic container with a straw.
Can's of the lager Asashi, a Japanese lager - it had a ring pull that you pulled and spiralled out to remove the entire top. A offie up the road from me does bottles but don't think I have seen it anywhere else, it's lovely.
They have it on tap in the local pub!
Most Tesco stores I've been in, sell the bottles. A very nice lager when properly chilled.
Seems I have been walking round in an alcoholic haze then!
Japanese make very good beer I have to say. Asahi is decent , saporro is better , kirin is better still and kirin ichiban is terrific.
I wonder if Alan Clark knows where that first drink comes from.
Used to be the same with Sapporo. You pulled the entire top off and were left with a metal can in the shape of a glass.
Brilliant. Alas gone now....
We used to drink loads of cresta,I remember the day of realisation of how awful it was. Also used to live off panda pops or generic "classic cola"
I used to love Quattro when I was a kid, best drink ever
Yes that was cool as, I used to like Colt45 too, you can't get it over here any more though
And while we're on the subject anyone remember Castlemaine XXXX export 5% stuff? it was only here for a short while about 20yrs ago, lovely stuff. I think the normal XXXX has been withdrawn from the UK now, probably the same applies to Labatts
