I ask, because I've seen about 12-15 of them in the hands of folk on the streets of London, and every single one has been black?

Is the white not popular? Do you own a white model?

Mine's white, felt no desire to buy a black one. Would have looked stupid while i'm using the stock buds.

Do the black ipods show finger print marks and smears more than the white ones?

obviously so Im afraid, but not as much as the polished stainless steel back of the nano. The problem is that because it looks so pristine when clean and shiny you cant help but keep rubbing it all the time which then creates lots of little scratches

I actually regret getting a black Nano because I realise it's the colour which shows off the scratches. I've not bothered about polishing away the scratches now but in general, fingerprints, etc should show up considerably less on the white.

I've never seen a fingerprint or a smudge on the front of my nano, plus you can only seen the scratches on it when it's under a lamp or something. The back is a different story though.
