Bacon is the greatest food. Almost any food is improved by adding bacon. If a food isn't improved by adding bacon, replace it with bacon.

PS. It's Tomato Ketchup or Tomato Sauce. I've still never heard the term 'Red Sauce' IRL.

Where I live red sauce is made from red chili peppers and green sauce is made from green chili peppers. That's what real men eat.
We don't do any brown sauce. Sounds like diarrhea.

I see this thread has been primarily about bacon in sandwiches. But the great beauty of it is its tremendous versatility. Oh and the taste of course. Mmmmm. Sorry, losing my train of thought there.

Yes versatility. It goes very well as part of other meals. Bacon wrapped chicken, salads, etc.

One more unusual meal that I once had in Philadelphia a few years ago was a cappuccino cheesecake with bacon whipped cream.

The whipped cream had crispy bacon crumbled into it. And it was glorious.

Damn. I'm going to have to find somewhere to get a bacon buttie on my way to work now!

Even Bacon can be enhanced with Bacon.

My dad is Pakistani raised Muslim. He has had a few cheeky bacon sandwiches (HP sauce) in his time on this fine earth of ours. He ain't the only Muslim I know who has had one or two either.

My son's God parents are vegetarian and the smell of bacon drives them wild.

I've never met anyone that does not like Bacon.

I know an ardent veggie who admits she loves the smell of bacon and it would be the only thing that could convert her if she was weak willed

Nope, never liked it. Been a veggie for nearly 20 years now, but I never ate it even before then, too salty. In fact never liked pork at all in any form, and not for religious reasons either. The smell of Fish and Chips is my veggie Achilles heel...

Well I was served it as a child, along with many other fairly gross 70s foods such as Fray Bentos pies and Findus Crispy Pancakes. Let's say I have had enough to know I ain't missing anything.

Same here but I did have to eat it until I was about 10, then on and off till 18 then gave up on it as all pork is not to my tastes iirc it's all salty and weird tasting, no one in my household is allowed it now as I am a tyrant about it :rotfl:, no they just don't have it as I never buy it and even the missis says nothing about it, I go as far as not having anything with Gelatin in it either in pork or beef form as the thought of it freaks me out, and there is a shed load of stuff with Gelatin in it sweets included.

I am not religious in any form either so it's not that.

I am, what i believe to be, in the perfect relationship. My partner doesn't like bacon (did set the alarm bells ringing i must admit) but whenever we stop over for weekends away I end up with a pile of pig on my plate for the morning breakfast.......she's definitely a keeper

Take two slices of perfectly grilled hot, bacon and place one slice into a split all butter croissant with cranberry jelly on one side of the split. Set a thin strip of French brie on the bacon and put the other slice on top of the Brie. Close croissant, place on a baking tray. Flip the grill over to oven mode at 180c (fan assisted) and pop the tray in for five mins. That which emerges is a thing of great joy and a breakfast fit for a king but it does look like an evil insect chrysalis. :)

I love Pork, but I reckon bacon's overrated. Yeah sure it smells good cooking but I nearly always feel slightly underwhelmed after eating it. The best bacon sandwich is the one with sausage in it.

Who the heck added all those extra poll options and for what reason may I ask? I thought my original options were simple and self explanatory as they evidently seemed to be doing the job before someone decided to step in and add their own contribution for some reason, wha g'wan?
