    its not IEC, which i think is the one you use to power computers/printers etc, its a 2 pin affair.

    it looks to be similar to a european plug, if not the same, but with a limited acceptance for plug shapes.

    ... powering other devices from the amp, i.e using the ac sockets on the back of the amp.

    my DVD came with one, but i cut it off as i di not have an amp then and i think it was thrown out. Plugs i have seen will not fit the small hexagonal shape of the socket surrounds and shaver ones dont work either
