Sony/Pioneer/Denon etc are going to launch DVD players with HDMI output & scalers to 720p/1080i for a reasonable price, say £3-400 in the near future?

    thanks

Well the Denon 2910 has HDMI and has a HDTV scaler to 720p and 1080i and costs just over £500. Therefore it is quite conceivable that the next range may come at a lower price point although I wouldn't expect to see anything before the summer.

Or... The Panasonic S97 has HDMI & upscaling with DCDi for less than £300.
