Ive been looking at getting a 42" pv500 but cannot find anywhere that has it in stock. I'm tempted to get a 435xde this weekend if i cannot find one.

    any ideas would be welcome.

Further to my earlier message about totaldigital.biz. They have a 42" back in stock as I just refused delivery as it's a european model rather than British (model TH42PV500E rather than 500B)

They only have the european model (I specifically checked before I ordered that it would the British model) so I'm getting a refund. I suppose I'll have to start looking again!

Just been on their website, I nearly ordered one from them, it doesn't state on their website that is has freeview, neither does it state whether it is 500B or 500E.

Mines coming tomorrow from RGB Direct, they don't state whether it is 500B or 500E but it does state freeview, phew :)

Would just like to give a shout out to Dixons (of all places)! They seem to have a bad press but have been nothing but helpful since I placed my 42pv500 order on Monday. I gave up on my local JL price matching other stores, and bit the bullet and ordered at Dixons web only price of £2315.92. Entering the "Youatwork" promotional code saw a further 5% off the price :smashin: .

Fair play to Dixons, it's one of the most competitive prices around and even with standard delivery, they've been happy to arrange delivery for tomorrow (4 working days). They've even tried to predict at what time it will arrive according to the delivery driver's schedule!

I know other retailers are offering the DMRES10 recorder as a free incentive, but Dixons have promised to send one if they adopt this offer over the next couple of weeks :D .

Having purchased hi-fi equipment for several years, I've experienced the apparent arrogant nature of some hi-fi retailers and this has been such a welcome change. Fingers crossed for tomorrow!
