I´d hang on a while before you buy as JVC have just brought out the AV-X10 which has NTSC progressive scan, future proofing it to some extent for the new DVD players that are coming out with this feature.

Currently they only have the 28 inch version the 32 should follow shortly.

    cheers

My muvva bought this telly 2 weeks ago & I've seen it in action - from an analogue picture only - and the picture looks pretty damn good, without testing it properly the geometry to the eye looks fine - no nasty bends..the tv itself looks pretty lush too - she bought it from Empire Direct at a pretty good price with a cheap jvc video which can be linked to the tv and works pretty well as one complete unit from the one remote..so in terms of performance vs bucks I think it was a good buy..I think they have one at the Comet @ South Gyle..all the best whatever you choose...cheers

thanks guys. also, what is NTSC progressive? how is it different to normal NTSC? i'm gonna be gettin a multi-region dvd player (prob Tosh 210), but as 32WFT1 does NTSC i assumed it'd be fine.

i'm looking for a tv without 100hz cos i think the artifacts are yuk. i'd rather go for a 50hz with a kick-ass picture.

No, i really don't think it is. But check it out anyway.

Progressive scan compatabilty for nstc dvd's isnt all that great anyway. it does improve the line resolution but dosn't create a picture as flawless as a 5ohz picture. although it will have considerably less flicker(almost invisible unless you look away from the screen) due to being 60hz.

the WFT1 is SUPERB. i bought the panny 28pk3 instead but the JVC is the tv i would have got had it been out at the time. the image is very stable, VERY sharp and defined but with NO 100hz mess. of course games and dvd's which use 60hz look amazing.

    I have the 32wft1.
If your after a good basic tv with a quality picture and a fantastic nicam sound and at a great price buy the 32wft1.On top of the audio and visual qualities its also better looking than most 32 inch tvs.I paid £745 which at the price is as good as it gets I believe.
