Excuse my ignorance but why is it that when I'm watching certain channels like E4 and channel 4 that when a picture with lots of white in it like an ad or something with a bright white background, the picture starts cracking up and freezing in places. Does it sometimes on SS News as well.

Is it just the poor broadcast or is my set up not right?

Ordinary Panasonic sky box into Tosh 42WH36 RPTV.

    Any advice appreciated.

    Cheers

I remember reading that some Panasonic boxes (TU-DSB31) had faulty tuner modules that caused this effect but ONLY if RGB is selected (using Scart of course).

If not that then maybe just incompatible with your TV.

I have this fault on my box also. It's only a problem when the output is switched to RGB - not PAL and apparently is due to a faulty tuner unit. Seems to be worse on highly compressed channels for some reason. I'm looking to get the unit repaired eventually - anyone know where I can get hold of a tuner unit for this model?
