    I'm really confused!

I watched the series Doc Martin on ITV this year and quite enjoyed it. It was set in Portgwen (really Port Isaak) in Cornwall with Martin Clunes. There is now Doc Martin on Sky 1 with the same character also played by Martin Clunes with a slightly different personality in Port Isaak (not portgwen). He arrives there in different circumstances and there are different other characters/actors. What's going on??

The one they are showing on Sky is a 90 minuets one of made in 2003, the one you saw on ITV is a 6 parter of 60 minutes.
The 2003 may have been sort of a pilot that the series is based on.

Oh, but it is now episode two. I thought pilots were generally only one episode?

Pilots are generally 90 minutes, when you add 15 minuets per hour of ads on Sky you get an hour. Split it in 2 and you end up with a 2 parter.

I missed the ITV series so thought I'd grab it on DVD, doesn't appear to be out.

Anybody have any idea whether it is going to be available or repeated any time soon.

    Cheers

I would keep an eye on the listings for ITV2 and 3.
