The view down from the edge of the rocks at Scarlett on the Isle of Man - an area that not only offers a fantastic testament to the extreme geological upheavals that have assaulted the British Isles in the past, but also has some of the clearest water around, with an abundance of interesting sea-life...

Whoa! if thats your feet i can see your really, really close to the edge. I'd be laying down with someone holding on to me just in case.

Nice clear picture, fits the theme perfectly. :smashin:

Nice pic Chunder, same comment as Cruncher, it probably is not as high as it looks, but your shadow on the sea floor also makes it just that bit more interesting.

Heh - thanks everyone :) Nobody was holding onto me - the wife wouldn't come anywhere near to the edge!
It's a drop of only about 20-something feet, but as soon as I stood there and saw my shadow, I realised that it'd make the perfect shot. The wide lens helps to exaggerate things, and this version with my feet just showing IMO gave it the extra little oomph :)

I was glad that this one turned out, as a lot of the shots from earlier in the day were spoiled as I'd left the ISO set to 3200 from some moon-shots a night or two earlier... doh! Because it was so bright, I couldn't check the screen, and couldn't see the viewfinder display properly until shortly before this shot, when I found myself in some deep shadows. Oh well, you live and learn, eh? :)

OMG another really scary shot.

I bet Tobers wished he'd gone with his first theme, cos there's alot of guys and girls taking big risks to get the ultimate 'over the edge' shots

Looking at this photo made me feel sick...cos i am really scared of heights. I almost felt i was standing there with Chunder

This photo is certainly on theme but a little high risk for me...surprised your wife let you go 'over the edge' to take this shot.

Anyway glad yur still alive and really great shot...

I hate heights and you wouldn't see me leaning over any ledges like that. I love cliff walking but know my limits and won't take any risks. Well done for having the guts to take such a shot though and I love the colour of that sea. Your shadow adds a lot to the picture too. Great shot Chunder, and definately on theme :smashin:

Gordon Bennet!

I can see your feet there... there is no way I would stand there and make that shot.

Crazy

Nice shot though.
