I recently bought one of these cracking sets and the only thing that lets it down is the manual. Now, ok I'm not a total noddy when it comes to all things technical, but how the hell do I tune the radio?

I've tried samsung's website and there's no manual to download either...

    Any ideas?
    Cheers.

Not tuned the radio but can I ask if you have bad light bleed on the top & bottom 1cm of the screen? Shows up on black backgrounds!

Is 730MW any good? I've been planning to buy it, so I'd like to know your experiances with it?

I've just purchased one of these screens and so far have been pretty impressed.

paulfoley - I have actually noticed some light bleed around the edges but haven't really played around with the picture settings so see if I can get rid of it.

Christophe - what multi room box are you going to be using? Looks like you've got the manual now but did your screen come with a CD/DVD along with the quick start guide? If so, I think you'll find the manual and other info on there in PDF format.

I found the FM tuning options in the second menu down (I think) while in FM Tuner mode. It has an Auto scan option just like the TV tuner.

It cant be tweaked out, I believe its bad positioning of the bulbs. If only it had a controllable bulb brightness function we could reduce it !

A feature that should be on all screens I think! :)

Do you reckon it's something we'll just have to live with or could it be a fault that Samsung should be told about?

Is that brightness problem case with all 730MWs? Are there any good 19'' widescreen LCD that can be used both as monitors and TV?

No idea Linnark, maybe more owners could comment?

I only really looked into the 17" models so not really aware of any well reviewed 19"ers.

Its not a major problem when using the PC input. I rarely see it unless the top & bottom centimetre is diplaying black e.g. playing widescreen DVD's.

Well I'm 90% sure I'll join you as an owner of 730MW... I'll tell you if I have the same problem. I was searching through the net and I've only seen good reviews, and no one mentioned that brightness problem. And I was afraid of that slow response time (25ms is slow) but also every review mentioned while playing TV there is no problem with that. I would use 730MW primarily as TV not monitor. And besides I don't play games, but when I do I don't play FPS and stuff like that I like slow games, so fast response time isn't really that big of a deal for me.

    hi guys,

i just purchased SM 730 MW . Tv is great but i have some question for somebody who already own this tv:

-what is difference between panorama-wide-auto wide - picture size ???
i don't see any difference at all !!! Maybe because I am using only RF connection for now ?

    - when i am watching dor example Five widescreen , and turn on to Zoom1 size, then it was lost about 1 cm of picture on top of screen.

It is something wrong or I need to use scart for correct picture size ??

    regards

    Mario

Picked up one of these sets over the weekend from PC World. only £299. Cheaper than any internet site... and no waiting. Not that pleased until got around to trying component inputs via Tosh DVD now well pleased with picture quality. PIP could be useful. Not got around to trying analogue TV - not much point really as it is not widescreen. For people without digital I guess.
Trouble is now I want two sets, one for TV and one for PC so I can use side by side... haha
