I have been using my fuji 42vha20es for 3 days. I have turned down the brightness and color to -12 or so. But I still feel that the reds are too red. I dont have a PAL DVD player yet so I am speaking based on Sky alone.
    Has anyone else noticed this?
I still have to run AVIA so that may help as well.

    Thanks

Same here on my display. Not a Plasma but still suffers from Red Push.

My image does not seem to be "too red"- ie whites are white, and grey is grey. It's just when something is red it's much too red. Same for you?

I've seen a couple of Plasma user screens with R,G,B, Magenta & Cyan sliders. I don't know if this will correct Red Push though. I've found out that it's the colour decoder that's too high on my set. No fix :(

How do you get into the service menu to change the red, green blue etc?

Mine has no colour decoding problems, i've tested it with both Avia and Digital Video Essensials and colour is spot on. It's a Sony.

I've had experience of 4 or 5 VHA's and they all exhibited strong reds. Seen it in a review somewhere, but he seemed to think it was a good thing! Ensyed, does yours buzz? All the ones I've seen have buzzed on pale screens, ie it goes away on dark scenes, returns on bright.

What plasma do you have now MAW?

Do you think the vha are a good plasma? I want to try and get one without any flicker this time. I could live with the 6 series flicker, but I would prefer to live without it:)

Ha Ha! I don't have one, currently. Have had numerous borrowed, used to work in rental, then custom install industries. I used to have the loan PW5, we had to have one cos Panasonic never do! I quite like the VHA, and it was a terrible market positioning error from Fujitsu, so is going at the hell of a price these days. It is a PW5, with Fuji electronics, which they do well. Looks just like the PW5, strangely, except for the reds, but you can tweak that out in the setup menu mostly. Watch out for the buzz, otherwise 7/10 for picture, I only award 10 to SDI screens.

There was a time I could say I had 38. I had a 503MXE opposite my desk, radeon powered. Quiet days were passed with MS combat flight sim.

I really like the VHA. The strong red is gone after changing the settings. Flesh colors are realistic now. However, the PQ seems to vary a lot from channel to channel based on whether it is film based or news or whichever as well as the level of compression by Sky.

I notice a slight shimmer on some channels but again it depends on the channel PQ to begin with.

Overall I am very happy with my purchase and would buy it again.

RGB&sync, timmy. Ensyed, you'll find you can see variations in quality much more clearly now you have a sharp bigger screen. RPTV's don't show it up so much, but something like live football is usually the worst, and studio news among the best, Hopefully the footie won't bother you?
