Do you have to get a subscription with a sky + box?

    Do you have to get a subscription with a sky + box?

    If I buy a sky + box can I still use the pvr to record the channel I am watching, but not a different one (which I could if I had the extra £10 subscription)?

    Or would I have to get the subscription for 12 months and after the 12 months cancel my sky + subscription but keep my normal sky world package?

    The extra £10 subscription is basically for being able to record a different channel than you are watching like you do with your VCR isn't it?

    I think, the PVR functionallity is disabled altogther, and if you have a sky plus and cancel the extra tenner, you lose access to the programs you've already recorded.
