Do wireless phone extenders work with Sky HD?

Hi there,

Got an install booked on Thursday for multiroom.

The phone socket is in an awkward place and wiring it to behind the TV is going to be messy.

Do these actually work?

Mixed reviews on there and read some people on here have them and they work?

Any definitive answers?

The socket is for the Sky PVR not the TV, but you ought to check with Sky about it in advance.

I bought these to use for my multiroom as I did not want cables running upstairs. I set them up and did a callback test and it all worked, so far Sky have not told me anything is wrong with the line so I am assuming it is all ok.

I have used some that work but unless Sky have tested at particular model they can't give a definitive answer.

Yes they will work fine, have the same ones and not had any probelms so far.....

That's if the installer will go ahead when he can't do the job the way his job specification says he has to do it.
And that's why I recommended consulting Sky about it first.

Nah will just get him to wire it in directly from the socket under the rug - job done - will then get sockets after

In which case he will be doing his job more or less properly, so no problem.
