hi Do us microsoft points work on uk gamertags? Thanks
no, i dont think so, im sure i bought some from ebay a year ago or so and i couldn't get them to work on my uk account but they worked on my us account.
Yeah I'm pretty sure they dont work mate, most of the US sellers state it in their ebay auctions. Its a shame coz they are so blooming cheap.
4000 points for haf the price of 2000 in the uk
so do us account's work ok on uk console's
The account will work on a UK xbox, but the MS points won't.
I have a UK, US and JP account on my Xbox 360 and they all work. I can use UK points for my UK acct and US points for my US acct (which I use for Rock Band). The content you buy is generally available for all gamertags on the machine (if you know what I mean)
MS Points have always been territory locked, whereas Live subscriptions never used to be, but there are reports these are now locked too.
Is there any downside to having a US account on a UK console? as in UK content not being available to the US account?
If not could i just create a new profile on the 360 and say that it's a US account, buy and use US points to download content and then play that content using my UK Gamertag?
it's hard to know if there would be any issues with content etc as each game is different, I haven't had issue myself but I only use a Silver US acct to get demos etc and Rock Band Content.
where can i get a JP gamertag from?
lol..you make it up yourself !!
Just get a new email addy from somewhere and start a new silver acct and choose Japan as country..
the locale is grayed out and it is set to UK
Why would you want a Japan or US account ??
I purchase my Xbox Live Kit which included 12 month subscription and Live Camera in the states and it worked fine on my UK Xbox
Because they get content early and even content we never get.
