I'm currently running media center through a CRT and it drives me nuts that when i turn it on, it default to analog tuner mode, i then have to press the AV button to cycle through to AV2, so i can see media center.

If i purchased an LCD, can they be programmed so when they start up they are always on a specified input? i.e media center will always be there waiting for me and not the inbuilt digital tuner.

It depends on the TV. My Toshiba WLT68 comes out of standby to whatever input it was last on. Other LCDs I've had automatically default to the DTV tuner, or AV1.

Most LCDs now have a menu to select what input you want to go to, which is usually a lot quicker than having to repeatedly hit the "AV" button.
