I have had my Aquos for a couple of weeks now and the picture seems better than when it was new. Is it my imagination or am I just getting used to the 'look and feel' of LCD?

I think that you are probably getting used to its "look and feel". The human brain is amazingly adaptable.

But LCDs do work better when warm, and maybe they also benefit from having their liquid crystals "exercised"?
