The QED scart range are relatively cheap (i.e. around/under the £50 mark) and offer a good picture quality versus performance compromise. Which you WILL notice on a 36" set. Your priority should be to put one between your Sony DVDR and whatever your source is (assuming it's not just analogue TV) as this is what you will be recording.

I have a £30 Philex THOR scart from Richer, and it really does make a difference. 5* in What Hi-Fi too.

Richer sounds do a couple of scarts, and if you are careful with the packaging you have a 14 day no quibble exchange.

Buy a couple on the old credit card, try em' out - if you see a difference buy one, if not, take em' back and have them re-credit your card.

    No harm done.

I use the Supra scart cable which is signal only (no sound).

    Tim:)
