Do HDMI to Micro B (Hard drive ) cables Exist?

Active Member
I might be way off here, but would really value some advice.

I currently have a 2TB WD My passport plugged into my TV via a USB cable. I was just wondering if i would get better performance from a cable that ran from the hard drive to one of the TV's HDMI slots instead?

Does anyone have any ideas or have tried this and obviously do these cables exist?
I've spend a whil searching, but haven't been able to find one

Many Thanks

The Harddrive sends data to the TV via USB and the TV onboard rendering engine decodes the data and plays it out as a video stream - there is no capability to render on the Harddrive and Output a video+audio signal via HDMI.

You could consider adding a Streamer such as ATV4K, Nvidia Shield, Gaming Console, lots of options from very low cost up to four figures, and see if you can gain any advantage over the TV palyback.
