Do good cables make all the difference?

    HI,just wondering wether good quality cables make any difference?


    My Setup: samsung LE52M8,pioneer VSX-1017AV,Pioneer dv-600AV,xbox 360,PS3,full b&w 600 series.

    Would appreciate any feedback.

    Bought a £50 Thor scart lead about a year ago and did notice a slight improvement in picture quality

    B+Q are selling the Thor Scart Cable at £10 at the moment, instore only.

    on digital cables ... no

    it either works or doesnt on short leads. You will probably notice the difference with long ones though. cheap 5m HDMI leads tend to have problems. for 1m runs though, you shouldnt find any difference

    and i think there is a certain ammount of difference on analogue cables, but not enough to warrant £80 on one cable. I wouldnt go much over about £25 for an analogue cable like a scart lead.

    how much should i spend on a dvi to hdmi cable, i need at least 5m?

    theres no rule for it really

    have a look on play.com and pick one from there, but pick the cheapest one on there. I dont think play stock any of the really cheap nasty £1 stuff you want to steer clear of.

    Buy a branded one QED and Co are very expensive, so I usually get Lindy stuff which always works great
