Do any sky boxes have component output ,coaxial or anything better than scart.
RGB Scart, Composite Scart and two RF outputs for video.
Twin RCA phonos for audio.
SKY+ has the above and also includes an optical audio output and s-video.
**There is a SONY standard digibox which has a non DD optical output and a Grundig standard digibox that has s-video.
You can modify the original SKY+ with a SDI output and of course there is the option of taking the RGB scart output and via a convertor turning it into VGA or Component
some sony/panasonic(?) boxes and sky+ are equipped with s-video not aware of any other video outputs available
thanks for that
Not a reply to the original question but if you are looking for a digital source that ouputs component Y Pb Pr as well as RGB without a converter then the Topfield does component through its Scart, switchable in the menu. You are of course limited to Freeview plus the option of TUTV.
Scart of course is a kind of connection which can carry different standards like composite; S-Video, RGB or YPbPr component.
