I buy CD's all over the world (Asia, Europe, UK, Africa) while on business and NEVER have any trouble in any of of the 4 players I use. Much better than DVD's and region coding.:D

Yes. There is no technical difference, wherever they are sold.

Which is of course exactly why region codeing was introduced for DVDs.
We cant have the general public exercising their right to buy movies wherever they want to. Good god whatever next!

If you go into any of the major (size wise like a HMV mega store) record shops you should find imports sold alongside standard ones(especially in the soundtrack part). I was up in Manchester at weekend and got some there (specialist shop Beatin Rhythm). You may also see them on the Amazon UK site and may be HMV and MVC.

The record industry would love it if they didn't but, unfortunately for them, they work fine here... and anywhere else for that matter.

As a matter of principle I always try and buy CDs and DVDs from the States as I've grown sick of paying over the odds in this country and contributing VAT only to see it squandered.
