Do all recent Toshiba TV's accept NTSC signals?

I'm thinking of getting a Toshiba 220 multi region DVD player from richer sounds to go with my Toshiba 28w93b TV but is there any way to tell if my TV will accept NTSC signals from region 1 DVD's?

I have checked the instruction manual but its not very clear.

Any help would be much appreciated

    Thanks in advance.

I would imagine most recent Toshiba televisions can handle NTSC 3.58 (pure NTSC). However in your case, it doesn't matter whether or not the TV does accept NTSC as I assume you will be using the RGB output from your Tosh 220 DVD player? If so, then the RGB signals bypass the need for NTSC colour decoding on the TV. Your TV just needs to be able to accept a 60hz signal which is more or less guaranteed :).

I've been informed that the new Toshiba sd420e can process an NTSC picture and deliver it in Pal50 format. Ordered mine (multiregion) for £199.99 last night so I should be able to confirm this soon.

Just using RGB out does NOT guarantee NTSC peformance. See my recent thread. In practice all current Toshibas to my knowledge will handle this with ease and have done for several years so you will not have a problem.
