Does your 3801 have a two pin plug?
If you undo the screw on your 3 pin plug and pull out the lead, a two pin plug appears.

Is this normal or do i have an import model.

It's pretty much normal on this ort of kit, and yes most of the Denon gear comes with an EU plug with UK adapter.

Yup, I have an AVC-A1D from Hayden labs (so it is not an import) and the plug was just like as described above (before I replaced it with a Kimber Powerkord).
