Anyone know where I can get one of these cheap.
Mine works perfectly except the fast/slow-forward/back buttons which you have to press almost through the metal (plastic) for a response.
The machine is still under guarantee but I'm sure that if I returned the remote, I'd get one of those "we can't find a fault" replies. Also, I use the machine daily, So don't want to be without a remote for weeks until they decide not to replace it.

Do you want the original remote? I'm guessing they'll be fairly expensive. Would a generic all in one type remote suffice? If you do want the original type I would first try your local [email protected] As a final last resort you could try contacting Panny customer support. I must say my remote has no such issues.

Bargain, not as bad as I thought it would be. I remember years ago having to buy a replacement remote for a Sony TV and at the time I think they wanted close to 80 quid for it, seems times have changed. Good luck getting your replacement sorted Steve!

Panasonic are a rarity they don't rip you of on replacement remotes. Mine arrived 2 days after placing the order.

I had the same experience with my Sony TV a long time ago. The new remote was going to be £110. This was about 1988. I ended up getting a new TV.
At the time I was a Coop stores controller and so I bought my new Sony through one of our electrical depts and the manager wangled me a spare remote for my new TV.
It seemed to be just a few weeks after this that all purpose remotes started coming available.

By the way, I have still got this brand new -17 year old remote if it's any good to anybody.

*EDIT* glad to see that you have had no problem with your remote. I was concerned that it may be something typical of the design.
