    Hi

I recently bought a brand new (old stock) XS380 as I wanted to use my XS350 in another room. When I try to set the clock to Automatic I get the following message: "Clock cannot be set automatically. Please set the clock manually."

The clock also doesn't change automatically for BST or GMT and if the power is off for more than a couple of minutes it has to be set from the default date of 2010.

My old XS350 is fine and is set to automatic and picks up the time from the satellite.

I would be most grateful for any help with this.

Did you enter your postcode during the setup procedure?
This can be required to provide certain services.

The unit picks up the time from one of the digital channels it receives ( but I don't know which )

Typically it always used to be BBC1. If the appropriate channel is not being received, that might cause such a problem.

Other than that, all I can suggest s a full power reset ( 15 minute mains disconnection)

I tried that by leaving the power off for an hour but still the same issue.

I will have to put the old XS350 in the main viewing room as that is fine.

Thanks anyway for your suggestions. :)
