DMR-PWT520 video file playback on Sony TV

Hi,

The recorder and folders are seen by networked TV and Sony Bluray system in another room but both claims no playable files, do I need to set anything on any of the items or router please?

As you seem extremely knowledgeable!!

I was hoping you may be able to help me with this? The TV is a Sony 40HX753 and the files are TV programs recorded by the 520 in another room but on the same network. Also, should it be possible to control this unit via a smartphone app?

If they are in HD then you will not be able to view them.

Thanks; yes, only 3 TV programs and all in HD... been going round in circles with this. Mezzmo and Windows Media player see them but as of no file size only time. Bit of a nuisance that then as it was bought as second recorder to supplement Sky HD!
