My 3 year old Panny DMR-EZ27 DVD recorder has started to develop an annoying fault.
When I switch on the machine from cold it is fine (e.g. the machine responds when I press the channel up/down button, and the disc drawer opens when I press the open/close button). The machine functions as expected.
However, if I leave the machine for a while (not playing - just switched on) when I return after say, 20 mins, the machine is on, (i.e. the display is lit) but has died on me, i.e. pressing the channel up/down button has no effect and the drawer does not open.
If I switch the machine OFF and then ON again, all is well again. The machine works OK.
Anyone have any ideas what is going on?
