    Hi,
    Any advice/ observations welcome!
Bought this HDD last week for use with Sky and TX-32PD30 Panasonic TV. (No Freeview in this area.) Sky picture direct to the TV is fine, but the Sky picture through the EX75 to the TV is a lot paler. It's the same with recorded footage from a Sony DV camcorder. Output from the EX75 to the TV is Component.
    Any advice please?
    Regards,
    Bob G

Hi Bob. Welcome to the forum.

This is more likely a issue of the way your TV is responding... and is showing a difference in colour balance between the component input and other input sources. [ How is direct sky connected? ... and is it from the TV scart or VCR scart of the skybox... ie : is it RGB or composite?]

It may be that the component input of the TV is showing colour more accurately and you had it over-saturated on the other routes and got used to it.

I suppose another thing to check is that the TV is receiving all 3 components and that all the leads are in the correct places.

Are you in a position to connect the DVDR to the TV via scart to make a comparison?

    Hi Gavtech,
Sky is connected to the DVDR via the VCR scart -as such composite! Answers that one. The issue with the camcorder is also sorted-'pilot error'
    Thanks again,
    Bob G
