My Panasonic DMR-E55 arrived yesterday, and overall I have to say the picture quality on the projector is much better than my old cheapo DVD player.

I am using component output with progressive scan, however one thing I am noticing (more so I think on Region 1 DVD's - but not sure yet), is the presence of what spots.

As I am watching the DVD, I get white spots flicker briefly on the screen in random places, almost as though that batch of pixels have not been rendered.

Seems to happen whether prog scan is on or off, and have tried the different transfer settings, also makes no difference if PAL or NTSC selected.

Anyone got any ideas? or is it maybe just a side effect of the multi-region chipping?

    Thanks

    Darren
