    Hi folks,
I sold my E-30 last week to buy an hs2. Am considering buying the E50 however as I've seen it at a very tempting price!
Just wondered what the situation with dvd-r compatibility is like? I know my E-30 had the odd problem with some dvd-r but for the most part was ok. Ive heard however that some e-50 owners have had big problems getting dvd-r to work properly (and not just the cheap disks but ritek and verbatim and the like!). Is this the case? if not what (cheaper) disks have you found that work best?
    I'd appreciate any feedback,
    Cheers Guys.

it's the £370 delivered multiregion from dvdplayers.co.uk one :). But I plan on getting avland/techtronics to pricematch/beat (I hear customer service from dvdplayers.co.uk can be iffy).

:) yeah, fair enough. However, Techtronics will beat the price while avland will only match it I think. To be honest though, its theoretical because for the amounts involved i'll be going to avland ;).

out of interest what did you get for the E30?

don't really see the point of upgrading to the E50 as it essentially is the same as the E30

bit the bullet get the HS2

    £380 :). That was with 40 dvd-r's though!

Which is why I'm thinking about getting the e50. Just as an upgrade to the new model. Ordinarily, I agree there would be no point as they are virtually identical, but the way I see it Im basically getting a free upgrade to the latest model. Still really looking for a second hand hs2 though.
