I have ordered a Panasonic DMR-E50 and a Pioneer VSX D-2011 Amp. I noticed in a review that the E50 has an optical digital connection. Could someone please tell me if I can connect them with a digital co-ax connection, or does it have to be optical digital, which I believe is slightly inferior.

    Thanks

I'm afraid it does have to be optical. There are convertors, but as the signal has started out optical it will not improve quality.:(
