Just bought an E30, amazing piece of kit.

The one think that stopped me buying in the first place was not knowing if you had any edit features when recording DVD-R. I just wanted to know if I could pause a DVD-R recording while I skipped the ad's on SKY+.

Well if anyone else is wondering, you can. Not only that you can record several different programs and when you finalize the disk it creates a menu just like you get on real DVD's. Amazing!

    So, my question...

I have plugged my AV amp into this thing using AV3, the phono/S video connectors at the back. Now it seems to only want to record on S-video (SKY+ etc), even if I unplug the S-video lead. I want to record VHS tapes through Composite on AV3.

You can select video type for the SCART leads (AV1, AV2) in the menu, but not AV3 and AV4.

So, how do I get it to record Composite (VHS) through AV3?
