So the Recent Firmware update to DMP-UB900 has stopped HDR output. Version 1.03

Hi, the recent Firmware update to my UHD bluray player has caused a problem with the HDR output to my LG OLED TV. This was working ok before the update, now I can no longer view HDR content!

I have tried resetting all settings on both the TV and the player to no success. It's important to note that this was working ok until I updated the Firmware.

I also get occasional errors saying it cannot output to 4K as it is not a 4K TV which is incorrect. A restart seems to correct this. However the output to HDR no longer works..

My TV is HDR compatible and worked ok, prior to update using Firmware version 1.02

Driving me mad as it worked fine for a few days before the update. TV is working fine with streaming HDR

    Help!

I had the same problem. For the player to recognise the TV as hdr compatable you need to go to the general picture settings on the TV and go to hdmi deep colour. Turn deep colour on for the hdmi your player is plugged into. All should then be well.
