Are there any DIY cables that can be made for a sub?

    I assume a CAT5 won't do? (I've got plenty left over!)

Just use a decent double screened coax; RG59 or 6.

Is it a high level input using a Neutrik connector? If it is I made mine out of CAT5e and it sounds great. I used a variation of the TNT TripleT. This is obviously designed for a Stereo pair so the design needs to be modified slightly.

The modified sub cable needs three Connections: Left, Right, and Common. Still use 3 pairs of CAT5, but instead of pairing up the coloured and white strands into left and right channels, pair them up so there are 3 connections.

I can give you some full instructions if you fancy doing it.

The sub I'm getting is the MS309 (with the premier plus system) - I haven't got a clue about Neutrik

Zone: I'll have quick google and see what cables I can find...

    Thanks for the replies :)

Would I be looking for the lowest loss possible?

This site seems to have a fair few - the H100 seems to be their best double screened coax..

or how about these guys who have some RG213 @ £1.20 per meter....

This cable will be fine for your needs and only 49p a meter.

What connector do I need for the coax cable?

Also the MS309 has a Left and Right "In" which do I use?
