First of all, does anyone know if these speakers are already shielded?

Second, does anyone know how to carry out a DIY magnetically shielding of speakers? I read that "you should be able to obtain a double magnet from a hi-fi diy store, and then all you will have to do is to glue the other magnet onto the existing magnet and there you go.". Have any of you heard of this?

I have a pair of liberty 5+, nice speakers :) and for some time each was sitting quite close to a TV/Monitor... never had any problems, monitor and TV still work after three years. So it should work from the start.

Thanks for the reply thelordmagus. I agree nice speakers. Just out of interest how close did you have the speakers sitting to the TV and was it a RPTV by any chance?

Hi there, sorry for the late reply.

I did only have a standard CRT (25" panny), and on the first occasion, one speaker was about 20 cm away from the TV. That's not super close, but I hope it helps. In anyway you should place them quite far from the telly to get a wider soundstage, if possible, of course.
