    Hi there,

Might want to add http://www.scan.co.uk 'cos I just found "305 Metre Cat 5 e "Low Smoke" reel (1000 ft) Purple (Solid)" (should be the plenum cable made from teflon being LSOH) at a mere £41.54 (they also do a non LSOH for 27.02).

And i was almost about to get it from Netshop for £66 when a £9 delivery charge made me re-think.

The only prob is then i'll have to braid it as for my new room i'm gonna need round the 50M of made cable !

    Cya,
    Lee

Here's one or two for the speaker/sub builders out there:

    http://www.wilmslow-audio.co.uk
Frankly excellent site with 100's of drivers from top names like Volt, Seas, Scanspeak, Peerless, Visatron, ATC, Lowther, Morel and Vifa. Also sell x-over components, veneers, ports, books, everthing really.

    http://www.bkelec.com
Nice selection of OEM amp panels for active speakers and sub-bass units.

    http://www.jcrispinandsons.co.uk/
Suppliers of incredibly classy veneer finishes, reasonable prices too, just the thing to finish your latest masterpiece off.

    Have fun!

How about www.tlc-direct.co.uk for miscellaneous electrical gear.

I have bought MK plugs and sockets and armoured mains cable from them and had pretty fast service.

They sell funky remote control dimmers which you can program using a spare button on your remote for about a tenner...bargain!

Buy Canadian! Mentioned elsewhere in these pages, Gene Evely of Take Five Audio http://www.takefiveaudio.com/ is very helpful, has a great range of products, connectors, cables etc. I got 3 Marinco #320 IEC connectors for CAN$22.95 (£9.63) each. Postage, including some other small items, was £6.20 and took less than a week.

I have created a new category for DIY in the links facility.
Could someone please put all the links in this thread into that list so I can delete this thread please?
