Distance Between TV? Does it make any difference?

I have a 37" 1080p TV in a small bedroom, I am about 1.5/2m away from the TV.

Does this make any difference to the quality I will see on my TV?

If I am further away, will I see an improvement in the quality with 1080p?

Cheers

No probably closer is better for 1080p material.

I've got a 42" 1080p set, and wth 1080p material I have a viewing distance of 2m (6 feet), for SD material (upscaled by the TV) I notice pixellation at 6 feet and prefer an 2.7m (8 foot'ish) viewing distance (I slide my "Jim'll fix it" arm chair backwards).
